Release of HDF Java Products Version 1.1
The second release of the HDF Java Products is now available
and can be downloaded from:
http://hdf.ncsa.uiuc.edu/hdf-java-html/
NOTE: With this release, JHV is no longer supported. H5View is still
supported but will be phased out by the next release of HDFView.
The HDF Java Products include four components:
- The Java HDF Interface (JHI) to access the HDF4 library.
- The Java HDF5 Interface (JHI5) to access the HDF5 library.
- The hdf-object package, a pure Java implementation of an abstract
model of data, which can read data from either HDF4 or HDF5.
- HDFView, a Java-based tool for browsing and editing HDF4 and HDF5
files. This tool can do as much as JHV and H5View and also includes
many new editing features. For detailed information about HDFView, see:
http://hdf.ncsa.uiuc.edu/hdf-java-html/hdfview/
The HDF Java Products have been tested on SGI IRIX, Linux, Solaris and
Windows platforms.
