We would like to get a feel for how many HDF users are interested in using HDF with DEC Visual FORTRAN. If you are currently using DEC Visual FORTRAN with HDF or would like to, please send us a message at the HDF Helpdesk (hdfhelp@ncsa.uiuc.edu).

Noesys 1.1

We recently received an announcement about Fortner Software's Noesys 1.1, the latest version of their data analysis and visualization software built on the HDF data model. Noesys 1.1 is currently available for Windows, with the Macintosh due later this month.

This version is especially interesting because it supports the ability to view and edit SDSs and Vdatas, as well as the ability to view and subset very large datasets. These are capabilities that many HDF users have asked for.

For more information about Noesys 1.1, see: http://www.fortner.com/hdf/
